Disney.com launches new music channel with focus on video Mon, 23 Aug 2010 Disney.com has launched an online music channel that places a greater emphasis on its video content.
Paul Yanover, executive vice president and managing director of Disney Online, said Disney.com already streams nearly 200 million videos per month.
The new site offers music video and album premieres, exclusive concert footage, samples of more than 1600 Disney songs, interviews and acoustic performances from Disney artists, and Radio Disney features.
To kick off Disney.com/Music, Radio Disney’s Jake Whetter gives viewers a sneak peek at his behind-the-scenes coverage of the Jonas Brothers Live in Concert tour with special guest Demi Lovato plus friends from “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.”
The music hub also has content for younger audiences with preschool and movie music, plus music-themed activities. Everyone can enter weekly sweepstakes and opportunities to win prizes.
